I'm selling a pair of fantastic rare JBL 4343B speakers. The ( B ) is for bi-amping, these speakers are large and do an amazing job of filling a large room, I'm currently using the JBL's in a medium size living room as you can see in the photo's.
I bought these speakers from a gentleman who perchased the JBL's from the original owner in a Studio in Nashville. They were never moved from the original spot after they were unpacked & placed for over 40 years.
These are about a perfect as you will ever find, the grills are brand new w/ JBL fabric professionally installed. The original grills were a bit dusty and a bit faded, I decided to have them cleaned and re-grilled, the Walnut veneer is 99% perfect with no dings and no scratches.
The Blue face is starting to fade a bit with some lite patina /paint chips very minor do to age I'm guessing. The speaker surrounds are excellent and 100% original, there's some lite doping on one of the 15" drivers that doesn't affect the drivers performance one bit, other then that, the JBL's are near perfect.
Now for the sound, these JBL's sound mind blowing large and in charge! 92db sensitivity and rated @ 75 watt RMS. Super efficient. The drivers work perfectly from Rock to Jazz these speakers sound great with amazing clarity & sound stage. These were considered state of the art Studio Monitors and have become very collectible in the Japanese market. The JBL Badges are 100% perfect, the 4343B's are the complete package for the true vintage or audiophile JBL collector.
Feel free to call me or email me / message me if interested, we can arrange a demo, I would prefer not to ship these as they are very heavy and large, or perhaps we meet halfway in the SoCal area. The JBL's have Consecutive numbers #10158 #10157 This is the read deal James B Lansing (The Golden era of JBL)

Thanks for taking your time to read this stay safe.
After a bit more research > The B indicates a Ferrite Magnet (ceramic) VS a Alnico magnet that was used in the early version. The drivers will have an "H" after the model #. The Ferrite is a better design due to the fact that they do not loose their magnetism.( according to the JBL Gods) Also, typically the B version will bring a few more dollars. Anyway, either version are fantastic monitors and possess a sound that is extremely difficult to reproduce in today's audio market! Apparently all of the 4343 series were bi- amp able.
